The afternoon is generally aimed at friends of optimization in Frankfurt and Darmstadt. Interested guests from other locations are also very welcome to attend.

- 17:30-18:20 Florian Jarre (Universität Düsseldorf): Stochastic gradient descent and Block coordinate descent - an introduction to the theory and a practical application
